I have always loved this quote…and I have always loved angels.  For some time, my heart has wanted to find a way to share my love of angels, especially with children.   It was with this in mind that angelsbyheather.com was born.

Life can seem so complicated at times—so fast-paced and offering so many choices.  I think the soul longs for peace and childlike simplicity.  As I began painting angels, it became a healing meditation, carrying me back in time to the magical hours I had spent as a child drawing angels and ballerinas. 

When I was about six, my grandmother gave me a small picture of a child with an angel and told me of the "little way of spiritual childhood," taught by Therese of Lisieux.  I remember how it soothed me...and how, even years later, gazing at that image would bring a sense of sweetness and peace.  It is my hope that the little angels and meditations on this site will bring a similar moment of blessing to you.
